This is my first post about crystals that are essential for a beginner/baby witch, like myself. You can put crystals in your altar, carry them around with you, put them under your pillow. It is up to you how you decide to work with them. I’ll do a post on how to cleanse them later on, if you guys are interested.
Crystals
Amethyst: Transmutes negative energy into positive. Helps to calm your mind and thoughts, great for meditation, prevents nightmares (put an amethyst under your pillow to help you sleep) Opens our crown chakra. This is a great stone to help your intuition grow.
Clear Quartz: Amplifies your energies and thoughts, as well as other crystals. Neutralization, balance, clarity, calmness, harmony. This is a great crystal to direct energy to a particular intention, or a certain place. Activates white, positive light and energy.
Black Tourmaline: Absorbs negative energy. Aids the flow of energy around electronic devices, absorbing electromagnetic waves. You can put black tourmaline near your desk or work space. Protection against negative energy.
Green Quartz: Balance, strength, cleansing, healing, prosperity, success. Works great with the heart chakra and it’s a complement to the rose quartz.
Sodalite: Helps to estimulate inner view in meditation, perception, and a clear mind. It’s great for visualization, writing, and activities that require our mind to be free of negative thoughts.
Pyrite: This crystal is super associated with prosperity. You can put it in your altar along with some prosperity amulets, carry it inside your wallet or put one where you keep your money savings.
Citrine: Estimulates self-confidence, security, positivity, joy. Works great with the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakra, warmth, light, inspiration.
Black Obsidian: This is a strongly protective stone. Shields against negativity, prevents and blocks psychic attacks, and absorbs negativity from the environment. Grounding, helps to deal with things you’ve been neglecting for too long.
Rose Quartz: The love stone. Peace, warmth, self-love, love in its various forms, acceptance, harmony, kindness
Labradorite: Grounds spiritual energies, raises conciousness, protects and balances the aura, banishes fears and insecuritues, helps revealling truth behind illusion, relieves anxiety and stress. Strengthens intuition and promotes pyschic abilities. Stimulates imagination.
Red stones- Sunrise- physical healing, energy boost, magic boost, protection, strength, courage, bravery
Gold stones- Afternoon specially 12 pm- protection, fortune, luck, prosperity, confidence, good for reflecting sunshine and amplifying it

Citrine- morning/sunrise- Never needs cleansing. Refreshing energy, releases negativite emotions. Happiness, positivty, intellect, motivation, optimism, concentration, peace, purifying, and cleansing
Pyrite- Afternoon, 12pm- protection (especially physical), luck, happiness, prosperity, truth, amplifies sunlight and sun energy, can replace gold in solar rituals.
Orange calcite- daytime, sunrise- alleviates fear and phobia, creativity, sexuality happiness, cleansing, confidence, self-trust, balance, clairvoyance, new beginnings, new ideas, ambition, and inspiration
Garnet- sunrise, noon- an amazing energy amplifier, physical healing, protection, love, grounding, warmth, trust, psychic abilities, and calming the mind
Sunstone- daytime, sunrise to sunset- great for all sun magic, bring light, sun energy amplifier, protection, healing, joy, optimism, happiness, creativity, intuition, independence, strength, bravery, and enthusiasm
Carnelian- sunset- vitality, motivation, creativity, positivity, courage, energy, leadership, public speaking, performing, physical strength, and passion
Tiger’s Eye- afternoon, 12 pm- because it correspondes with both the sun and the earth tiger’s eye goes really well with solar grounding meditation, clairvoyance, protection, luck, clarity, grounding, relieves stress, balance, stability, and divination
Amber- sunset to sunrise, daytime- an old yet powerful energy, wisdom, protection, healing, love, clairvoyance, binding, luck, beauty, purifying, and life
